The Pedro y Angélica de Osma Gildemeister Foundation
The Pedro y Angélica de Osma Gildemeister Foundation
It is a non-profit institution established in 1982 by testamentary will of the brothers Pedro and Angélica de Osma Gildemeister, who allocated their assets to two objectives: to support social works in favor of children and the elderly in situations of abandonment and / or social vulnerability, likewise, the preservation and promotion of the viceregal heritage, through the Pedro de Osma Museum.
Its effort to support social projects is primarily reflected in three institutions, such as the “CAE Casa Belén de Osma”, an institution located in the Center of Lima that provides comprehensive care to preschool children with Down syndrome. There is also the “CAR Angélica y Pedro de Osma” Residential Care Center located in Ñaña, where shelter and comprehensive care are provided to children declared in a situation of abandonment and/or social risk. And lastly, the “CCI Pedro de Osma y Pardo”, a specialized center that cares for children from 4 months to 4 years, whose parents live or work in the districts of Barranco, Surco, or Chorrillos.
Furthermore, the Foundation collaborates at a social level with 35 other social aid institutions, such as nursing homes for the elderly, temporary homes, soup kitchens, and many others.
